THE FALLBACK
By Mariah Dietz
4 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Release Date: January 10

New to me author Mariah Dietz brings a story of love, betrayal and journey to self-discovery.

Brooke, an event planner meets Levi, bar owner/chef one night while clubbing. Recently single from a long term relationship Brooke doesn’t allow Levi to penetrate her walls. Determined and ready to tear down her walls Levi stays persistent. The chemistry between the two is undeniable. When Brooke finally opens her heart to Levi she finds that her past has a way of biting her in the ass and those walls Levi tore down come back up solid as ever.

This book is a fantastic read. Levi is so swoon-worthy 😍 If you haven’t read anything by Mariah I recommend 1-clicking this today! I’m looking forward to reading more of her work.

Synopsis:
I thought being dumped was painful.
And it was.

Trust is more fragile than hope, and maybe even fear.
And it wasn’t the only thing left damaged.
My heart and my ego were dragged through the mud as well.

But, I’m collecting the pieces.
Moving on.
Or I was, until I learned the guy who has stolen my thoughts and attention is a client who my often eccentric and demanding boss personally assigned to me. As one of the most sought after event planners in Chicago, I’m determined to keep things professional, especially when I learn his connection to my boss extends beyond money or a favor–but family.

With one glance I forget reason.
He smiles, and I lose sense.

But how deep is my past buried?
And how much are we willing to risk?
