This is Book 1 in the Knight brother’s series by Carly Phillips. A second chance romance between Sebastian Knight and Ashley Easton. Both became close as teens when Sebastian’s dad briefly married Ashley’s mom. The two became close and one night they were caught in a compromising position which in turn led to Ashley being shipped off to boarding school.

“He’d always been there, sneaking her Hershey bars, encouraging her to enjoy her life.”

Fast forward to when a death in the family brings the two face to face after 8 years apart. With a lot of resentment and anger towards Sebastian, Ashley keeps her distance while Sebastian deals with his regrets. The pair decide to put the past behind them and start fresh.

Sebastian and Ashley learn to open up and they become better versions of themselves. Sebastian, a playboy and Ashley, somewhat a recluse find love with each other.

“Personally, I didn’t even believe in love, but you taught me that it really exist.”

There was a lot of chemistry between the H and h. There wasn’t any major angst and I enjoyed how quick and enjoyable the read was. Looking forward to the next book about the Knight brothers.

All alpha all the time, Sebastian Knight’s confidence never wavers. At least not until Ashley Easton walks back into his life, wanting nothing to do with the playboy who broke her heart.

Sebastian Knight is a closer. Be it a business deal or the woman of his choice, everything he wants is his for the taking. Sexy and irresistible, a wink, a smile, or a handshake always seals the deal. Until Ashley returns at the worst possible time, and everything unravels around him.

The Ashley who returns is sassy and sexy–everything Sebastian craves and he wants a second chance. Despite her reluctance, his sex appeal makes it harder and harder to keep him at arm’s length.

Sebastian might have a talent for sealing the deal, but Ashley is no longer easily charmed. This time he’s going to have to work to win.
